GHIII guitar trouble

I'm having BIG problems with my guitar controller for guitar hero III, i've only had it for a month, and already i've had to get my dad to fix it 3 times because the contacts on the bottom of the neck have had holes put in them, my brothers controller has never been broken execpt for the whammy bar which seemed to fix itself.

is there anything i can do? i'm at my wits end!

Well i have GHIII and i bought one guitar controller and we had to return it because the whammy bar DID NOT work at all so maybe you need a different guitar

P.S.they are like $35.00 at walmart
