Everyone DESERVES hell. Who is to judge that, oh, this person was "good enough" but this person wasn't? Where would the line be drawn?
This is the bit that always intrigues me...
Why do Christians believe everyone DESERVES hell? Is it because they believe only God can judge us all and none of us are qualified to make a judgement except him?
Why then does a new born deserve hell? Why then does an aborted foetus deserve hell?
Why then do we have this free will God gave us to make decisions? Is it only for that one decision - to accept Jesus?
I don't understand how a new born or an aborted foetus can accept Jesus; so do they go straight to hell?
Why then are some Christians
judging non-Christians and advising them that they will go to Hell when they die?
Why then do some Christians call others Idiots for not believing the same thing as them and asking difficult questions?
If you don't have Jesus but lead a kind, moral life, do you believe that you automatically go to hell?
If you do have Jesus but are rude and uncompromising in your day to day beliefs and attitude do you think it's reasonable to automatically go to heaven?
One last question I think about too.
I don't understand why Buddhists are fighting and killing one another in Burma. It's such a peaceful, accepting religious belief and yet the strict regime in the country has (apparently) managed to undermine those ancient beliefs ... and have people at each others throats.
I really don't want to sound as if I am contradicting anyone - for me, there are enough contradictions in my questions already.
These are just some of the things that occur when I'm reading through various topics in Seriously Non TamaTalk.
