I'm sure it's the brown stars(retro) because I got the tree already, the retro seeds give you items and if you get the yellow christmas tree, that's the Tama Mori Tree.

I'm trying to find happy symbols for maisutatchi... so far I have the cane and the eclair... help?

Well, the 4th happy symbol always is having the adult character for at least 48 hours. Maisutatchi's other happy symbols include (in addition to what you already have) the tuxedo from Tama Mori and a fruit sandwich from the Bakery (is that what you mean by the eclair? Either way, it's the first option). Tama Zone has a really helpful thread HERE (not sure if TamaTalk has posted an equivalent thread) if you're interested.
