You can only use the Clone when your Tamagotchi evolves into an Adult.

The Clone item makes a copy of the Tamagotchi you have as of right now. You can see two, of the exact characters, dance around for a few seconds, and one of them leave.

All in all the word "CLONE" speaks for its self. It clones your Tamagotchi, you have.
