Help with music star?

Hi, I'm new here, and yesterday I bought a music star, and now mine is a one year old teenager and is in a band, a chamametchi, an itchigotchi and a ringotchi, but when I go to music school, I press B and they all walk over to the studio then there are alot of music notes playing, my instruction manual says I am supposed to press A B or C to go left, right or middle, what does that mean?

it mean when the note comes on there head u have to press the botton that goes with it. that middle one goes with the middle character and so on
