I don't think you can determine which character to get.

You just have to try out different methods.

I have got a Viletchi before but that was in my v2.

I can't remember how i got it, what i fed it now. What version do you have? Maybe just browsing around TamaTalk would help you, maybe you'll find some information in the FAQ Section?
