How do I give a gift?

I've wrapped up an item (the tv) and wrapped it, but when I connect to my friends Tama and press present I get the message that my list is full and they don't connect. My item list is full. How can I give the gift?

It seems that you arent connecting correctly, go to "PRESENT" click it once, the person who wants to RECEIVE the present must click it again. Then your Tamagotchi will fly to the others screen and give the gift.
