You have to catch it whilst it's pooing but it's quite hard. People say that if you catch it every time when it's a baby or child it will be potty trained.

Potty training is a rumour. It does not exist. You cannot potty train a tamagotchi. You can get it to sit on the toilet if you catch it before it is about to go (when they are standing there looking uncomfortable with the wavy lines around it) but you cannot teach a tamagotchi to go to the toilet by itself.

Bellsprout is right. It really isn't potty training. All it does is sit in the toilet and a lot of us just call it potty training.
