How do ur tamas make you feel?

So, How does your tama make you feel? Is it just a toy? Or is it something more.... A friend? Well? Will you get sad when it dies? Does it make you feel better if u get picked on and you do stuff with it?

I think of my Tamagotchi as a virtual friend.

I don't get picked on because I don't bring it with me at school,shops,etc.I would be dissapointed if one of my Tamagotchi's died.
