how do you debugg a version 2 connection?

BE VERY CAREFUL DEBUGGING THE V2'S I TRIED TO DO IT ON MINE AND IT WOULD NO LONGER HATCH OR IF IT DID IT WOULD ONLY BE A BOY AND I NEVER GOT TO CHOOSE THE CHARACTERS AND I DID IT RIGHT TOO SO BE CAREFUL I HAD TO GET A NEW ONE BECAUSE I WAS STUPID AND TRIED TO DO IT.
