How do you pronounce...

I know it sounds stupid. But I just am not sure. I have the Tamagotchi Video Adventures VHS from 1998 and they say TOM-uh-GOE-chee. But the people who do ALL the commercials say TOM-uh-GAH-chee.

 

PS. This is the US pronunciation. I think people in other countries say it different from each other.

I pronounce it tah-mah-ga-tchi. I guess there are different ways to pronounce it.

It doesn't make sense. The official "Tamagotchi Toons" VHS says, "TOM-uh-GOE-chee" but the V.1, V.2, and V.3 commercials say, "TOM-uh-GAH-chee"?!?!?! Is this just because the people who were paid to narrate the commercial just say it wrong?

 

I'm so confused... I don't want to be saying it wrong.
