lights turn themself off and that is soo cool but on v3 if you left them on you would get a bill ewwww

Yeah, The mail icon is replaced with the lights on the v4 it's a auto feature.. Which is good because I didn't see why Ban-Dai would want their tamagotchi fans to turn the lights off while their tamagotchi is up or so..

The light icon is replaced by the mail icon. Now whenever your tamagotchi goes to sleep it will turn off the lights for you!
