How old do tamas have to be to have babies?

I have two v2 tamas (a boy and a girl) who are 3 years old, both mimitchi, and they have all hearts for each other in the friends list. Whenever they connect to send presents, the one giving the present has hearts over its head. But they won't have babies together no matter how many times I connect them. Do they have to be 4 years old? Or am I doing something else wrong? I paused them once a couple days ago (but it didn't delay their evolution into adulthood...). :mimitchi:

They have to be 5 years old to reproduce, or at LEAST 4. I can't remember ever having babies at the age of 4, though.

I know for the V3, they have to be at least 5. Give it a few days, it should work then ^_^
