When they are young (not adult) - they sometimes get a heart as a present, it's just a cute present, but that's not the same as mating adults. Don't worry - only adults can have babies - not teens or children / toddlers!

When two adults are going to have a baby they face each other on the screen and you see a heart appear between them. Then the lights go out and fireworks appear....
