I NEED HELP!

Ok lately when I have been messing with my V3 it has said that the battery was dead after I have played with it for about a hour I would take the battery out and put it back and it would last for another hour then it would say the battery is dead again!!! I took out the battery and tried in my tamagotchi 4.5 and it worked fine.
