A teen turns into an adult after 48-72 hours. Here is a chart with the time taken to evolve:

Egg-Baby: 1-5 minutes

Baby-Toddler: 1 hour*

Toddler-Teen: 24 hours*

Teen-Adult: 48-72 hours*

Adult-Oldie: (optional stage) Ususally aged between 10 and 20*

*Pausing and resetting and downloading will slow down the growth of your tamagotchi.
