Rare for age 5 from what I heard, 4 no.

Oyajitchi get's the matchmaker at age 4.

I think for question 2 she means when does you tama get a job in tama town.

If that is your question, the answer is that they don't find jobs in tama town. They don't even go to work when they are in tama town. You will get a message like this[!] when you graduate from school(go to your school on tama town and get your cap and gown) and they will give you different options to choose from to get a job. some jobs will declne you and some wont. When you find your jopb, you go to the little heart symbol on your tamagotchi and press work. Your tama will either just leave or let you play a game.
