Not allways. if they are treated the same they might be the same...but different is more likely.

I'm not really clear about what you are asking.

On some virtual pets (not tamagotchi's) you get a baby character that evolves and as it grows up it becomes a 'bigger' version of the same character- until when you get an adult you get a full grown version of the same character.

Is that what you mean?

If so, no, Tamagotchi's change characters as they grow up according to care.

So, for example, a young mametchi DOESN'T necessarily become an adult Mametchi.
