im in troble

yesterday my friends v5 restarted itself. i dont know what im going to tell him when he comes back from his camping trip. i need to know if its normal for a v5 to do that

No, it should not restart itself.

Usually the low battery screen appears if the battery is low, but if you try to connect when the battery is just above "low", it could reset itself, causing the download / reset menu to appear.

When you're on the screen with the egg, press B and this should come up on the screen:

DOWN-

LOAD

RESET

Use the A button to scroll through those choices. Choose DOWNLOAD and it should go back to the last tamagotchi you had.

Or is it a baby?

If it's a baby you can't download it, because it'll download the the last major event, it's birth.

If it's an egg, I don't know if you can download.

Just tell him the truth, as long as you didn't reset it on purpose.

That is not normal.

As explained by others,

If there is an egg on screen, ress the B Button(Middle Button) to get it on to

DOWN-

LOAD

RESET

Then, use the A button(Left Button) to scroll through the choices. Press the B button(Middle Button) When it gets to

DOWN-

LOAD

Then, it should go back to the last MAJOY event.
