I'm not new, but I was wondering....

I have a V3 and a lot of people have been complaining about getting like fifty balls in items, snacks or meals when their Tama died and/or they changed the battery. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this problem without resetting my Tama. I worked really hard to get all of those Gotchi Points, souvineres and all that stuff (plus I hate resetting my Tamas). Also, does this happen to all Tamagotchi V3s? Is there a chance I don't happen to have one that will not encounter this problem?

Yes, I had that happen! I had 3 balls in my snack list. I feeded them to my Tama just to see what would happen. They worked just as if I had used the apple or ice cream. I figured it was a glitch with my Tama.

Yes, I know you can feed them the balls, but I've heard some people say they froze their Tama or killed it (I think). I don't want to take any risks...
