I´m not sure but I would recommend to buy a irda USB thing which should be compatibel with your operating system.

I´m using for example Windows 7 64 bit and we have a laptop which is running on Windows 7 32 bit, and the irda USB I bought works great on the laptop

So I would recommend to always check the operating systems it´s compatibel for c:
