No, unfortunatly you can not save it when it gets that sick. Once it is about to leave your Tamagotchi screen, you won't be able to press any butons at all to save it.

I sorry to tell you this but you can't do anything once its really sick

As Tama-Love and Caitlin9109 have already stated, once your tama is that ill, you cannot save it.
