Is this supposed to be a random event?

My tama(now 2) goes to school now and her teacher is Mr. Turtle. Okay, so when I press work then I press the middle button that event (where Mr.Turtle gives you a choice of gifts it's either poop or a skill point) goes off. It keeps happening when I press work and then the middle button. It happened since it was 1(the age where it went to school). I heard its supposed to be a random event but it seems on mine its not. Is this natural?

Use the A button to move your tamagotchi, and press the B button to accept/open the present. I hope this answer's your question. But if this doesn't help you ask again. I have mostly found the presents in the 3/last box.

when the boxes flash, that means they switch. my tama just went to school too. :furawatchi:

Just try to accept the one which doesn't flash last It worked for me 3 times in a row
