Kuchipatchi character on V1

I'm curious as to why I received a Kuchipatchi character on my V1 while it clearly states that my Tama was born as a girl. I've been under the impression that Kuchipatchi is a male character, not female. Any ideas?

the v1,v2, and v3s don't care about gender as far as which character you get, they only have even and odd generation characters.
