My tamagotchi seems to only get happy when I feed it snacks! And now it's gaining tons of weight..I'm wndering if there's other alternatives to make Tamamgotchi happy? I've tried giving it its favorite toys, playing games...it seems to not get happy.

Usually, games give your Tama happy hearts. If the games aren't raising its happiness, there must be a glitch or something wrong with your Tama.

You have to do extremely well in the games, it depends on the age of your tamagothci.;
with very young tamas, it works if you do well, it will tell you how good or bad you did the game.
With adults and older, you need to finish or almost finish the game.

I seldom give my tamas candy when they are a little sad, I rather play with them.
If they are very sad, I feed them a little candy, then play the rest.
Like human they can get sick of too much candy, and get a toothace.
