I just want to say Mametchi truly is the best character ever. :) He was the best care adult on the first Tamagotchi ever made, and he is part of the iconic mascot trio, Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi. Mimitchi was never meant to be a main character; sure, she was in the logo and on the front of some versions, but even while Mimitchi was the "mascot", Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi were the playable characters of the corner shop series. Mametchi shares his birthday with Tamagotchi itself, he's the main character in the anime. Even though new girly characters seemed to take his place, they eventually left the anime, but Mametchi stayed. Tamagotchi just wouldn't be Tamagotchi without Mametchi. Mimitchi is popular and she was a random main character for a short time, but Mametchi will always be the best. He has a lovable personality and a more creative design in my opinion, and he will always be one of the most important characters of Tamagotchi ^_^
