Memory - on V5 ?

I noticed on my tamagotchi v5 there is a thing saying memory but dont know what its for can some one tell me how it works and what its for?

I'm on my sixth generation on my V5 and my parents are NOT in the memory book. So I think the memory books is for when your tama family leaves you due to neglect.
