This is my first tamagotchi and I'm soo confused about how it all works

My main question though is how do I get gotchi points? I used all my points, how do I earn more? I tried playing the games but i don't get points from them. I finished the sing a song and sound block games, I beat all the levels in them. But no gotchi points. It only increases my pet's tone and original thingy. What do I do to get points so I can buy things?

Also, when i get mail, how do i read them. I got a mail icon a few hours ago when I opened the door. What does that mean?

Apparently you get some Gotchi Points every day. I've also heard that when your Tamagotchi is an adult, it can earn some Gotchi Points working part time and a LOT of Gotchi Points by performing!
