I couldn't take this anymore.
"Fine!" I sobbed, and my body went limp. The binding spell broke as I crashed to the ground.
"I thought so," she cackled.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"Vicky?" my son Derek's voice called. The evil Violetchi's turned to open the door.
That's when I broke down. I'm sorry, Maya, I thought as tears ran down my cheeks. There was nothing I could do. She'd never stop... it was me or our whole family....
Derek looked at Victoria, and then noticed me crying on the floor.
"D-d-ddddad?" he asked, fearful of my crying fit.
"Go," Victoria snapped to my son.
"What?" He looked wildly at her in a state of shock. "What? But-"
"Go."
Derek began to leave the room, then whipped back around.
"I can't leave you!" he told Victoria.
"Don't fall for her tricks!" I cried.
Victoria was confused. "I don't need you anymore," she told him. "You can leave."
"I know that," Derek insisted. "But I won't go."
"Go!" I told Derek. "Go, now!"
"I-" Derek whispered. "I love you, Victoria."
