If you paused it a lot, then yes.

I'm pretty sure that pausing your tamagotchi makes it age slower.

 
TrickerTreat is correct. The computer keeps track of the time, but it needs *actual growth time* to age.... running time... not really sure how to say it.

Do you understand what I mean?

So while it's paused...time still goes by, and the tamagotchi still gets older...but its age isn't the only thing that effects its evolution. If it takes 3 days for a tamagotchi to evolve, it must accumulate 3 day's worth of time unpaused for it to happen.

I never realized that. Heheh...interesting.

 
No, you can do whatever you want, just know that your tama grows based on actual active time. So pause it if you need to, and don't be concerned about it still being a teenager, it's working just fine. :p
