I can belive that because something similar happend to me? well my tama of cause. I had set the clock wrong so it was awake when I was asleep and it woke me up so I put it in a glase of water to shut it up the next day I found it dead...or so I thaught so I chucked it in the bin an hour later it began to beep a long single toned note for at least 15 minutes befor finaly passing away.
