My tamagotchis are'nt connecting

I have a V3 and V4 tamagotchis,how do i connect them?I went under the heart icon and went to "Others" On both i didnt work...Why?

when it said "STAND BY" on the screen did you press B? it wont connect until the screen says "CONNECT" on it

Connection will/can be affected by direct sunlight and Light basically. They also might not be able to connect if the Tamagotchi is broken or the battery is low. But you have to make sure to press B on at least on so the screen will say Connect. If it fails just press B again and keep trying to re-connect.
