You need to try to keep the Happy Hearts and the Hungry Hearts more full than you have been so far.
You normally get a Universal Adult if your Happy hearts empty out and the tama has to beep for your attention so you will feed him a snack or play a game.
If this happens a few times while he is a teen then you're more likely to get a Universal Adult.
Try to check the hearts more regularly and fill the Hungry hearts right up - keep feeding your tama MEAL food until he shakes his head and refuses to eat any more.
Try to keep the Happy hearts full with plenty of games rather than quick SNACK foods - that keeps his weight lower, which also helps avoid Universal Adults
