Hailey steps through the old hallway in her grandmother's mansion, grasping Ryan's arm.
"Help." She pouts quietly.
Ryan, who was the supporter, held her arm tightly and whispered into her ear. "Shh."
Hailey walks up through the hallway, holding a small flashlight. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere. Despite the fact that Hailey was scared of them, she jumped in horror when she saw one.
"Eek." She whimpered.
"Now be careful there, will you?" pushing her back in return. Ryan sighed and laid his arm on her shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll find her..." He said faintly.
"Ryan...?" Hailey gasped. "You okay?"
"I-I don't know..."
Hailey pulled Ryan through a door in the hallway. She shivered while opening the door. Looking through the fainted light, she yanked Ryan's arm and laid him down on the floor, next to the wall.
"Ryan." She muttered.
Ryan looked up. "What?" He said in a tired, harsh voice.
The door suddenly closed as the light went pitch black. Ryan grabbed Hailey's shoulder and pulled her down.
"Wha--" Hailey was cut off by Ryan, who pulled her.
"Quiet..." He whispered.
It was silent.
After a few minutes, the door made a loud croak and opened. Hailey covered her eyes and buried her head into Ryan's chest. He opened his arms and covered her body, making her feel better. He patted her head softly.
"Nothing's there." He said. "Just the same old hallway."
"No." She refused.
Ryan stood up and pulled Hailey off of the floor. "Let's go. I'm fine now." He said.
"Okay..." Hailey squealed. "But... what happened to you?" She asked.
He looked up in surprise. "Nothing..." He said, looking down again.
"Ryan." Hailey said sternly.
"Nothing..." He moaned loudly.
Hailey looked back to the hallway and saw a shadow of a figure pass by. Something. She opened her mouth, speechless. "R-Ryan.."
Ryan looked at her, arms over her waist. "Why?"
Hailey pointed to the hallway. "There!" She cried, so terrified.
The figure came out, with shoulder length gray hair. Long enough to cover her face. It happened to be...
"Grandmother." Hailey widened her eyes.
Ryan let go of his grasp of her. "Aghh!" He said in confusion.
Hailey fell down in return. She laid flat on the floor.
Ryan looked down, he was scared.
