on tamatown, not getting items!

I just got my v3 yesterday.. In tamatown, I am playing the claw machine, and i won a skateboard, im really confused, because when it gives me the code, I go to the CODE shop, type it in, and then it shows the present i got, so then I go to my items and there is nothing there, but what i bought in the shop on my tamagotchi toy, (not the tamatown website) so im not getting anything from tamatown!!! Please help!

Ya, you can't use the items you get from Tamatown, they are just souvenirs to remember from. =)
