1. go to the parent's house and zoom in on the desk. there is a note that says...

2. Go to the grandparents house or the parents house, and what ever character you had then, will be on the screen!!!!!

I think it means that whatever type of character you had on your Tamagotchi will also appear on in the Parent & Grandparent's houses. So, if you have a Kuchipatchi on your Tamagotchi, you should see Kuchipatchi visiting in the Parent & Grandparent's houses. It's the same idea as the postcards when you travel.
