To use it, you have to be in 2nd Gen. Go on your friend list icon (the book) and then scroll to family. Your parents/grandparents should have "phone numbers". You can write them down, or try to memorize them. W/e. And then go to your cellphone and type in their "phone numbers"

If your not in 2nd Gen, you can call your teacher.

First of all, you have to be an adult in the 2nd generation. To actually call your parent, you need to go to the book icon, select family, select parent, and press B on your tama's parent till it says "phone number." On the phone number the < arrow means the A button, the > arrow means the C button, and the O means the B button. Write the number down, or memorize it, then go to your items and select the phone. There will be circles at the top. Enter the phone number, and the circles should disapear, and your parent will apear in a dialogue bubble, talking, and sending you text smilies.

Actually, first generation adults can also use the cell phone. The parent and grandparent numbers won't work for her, but the teacher phone numbers do work.

(1) you have to do this on a V4.

(2) you have to have a cell phone. If you don't already have the cell phone, read this topic and get the cell phone: V4 Codes, All 5 Shop Codes for V4

(3) your character must be an adult (or older).

(4) find the cell phone in your items list and select it. The cell phone will appear on the screen next to your Tamagotchi character with three circles in a row above it. These circles correspond to the A (left), B (middle) and C (right) buttons on your Tamagotchi.

(5) known cell phone numbers are listed in this topic: V4 Cell Phone numbers, that work on all V4 Tamagotchis. Enter the cell phone number by pressing the A, B, or C buttons in the order shown for the cell phone number you want to dial. After the last digit has been entered, the call will go through, and you will see the person you are dialing appear on your screen. She (or he) will then have a brief conversation with your Tamagotchi character.

Once you do what binary says, I believe you won't be able to hear the conversation. If you could, they would be speaking in a 'Tamagotchi' language, which we could not understand
