i have seen many people who have just joined been laughed at, and it makes them feel discouraged.they have just joined and they are trying to do the best they can.they dont really know what they are doing or how to do this or that. so dont laugh at them or be mean to them

This is called newbism (making fun of newbies).
It pretty much happens everywhere and should always be discouraged. We were all new to something once and we've needed help many times in our life.
It was a nice idea for you to start this, Chic. However, I think it would be better if this came as an announcement from a Guide or something.

Yes that is discouraging them. When I was new, It would have hurt me to have been laughed at. It needs to stop.
