What happens when the pixels on your tamagotchi screen are faded? Is there any way to make the screen so that it doesn't look so dull?

i dont know what to do. the last time anyone had faded pixels at my house thats because my brother accidentaly got water in his. we took it apart, dryed it off, changed the batteries, and it worked fine.
