Playing with ur young tama's items

Hi, I was wondering that if u play with your tama's items when young (like blog blocks, ball, busic box) makes them smarter or develop their skills so to become a better tama in the future??

Items don't have any effect on your tama at all, apart from ones like the magic lamp and toybox, which can have either bad or good surprises. Items are just fun to use. <_<

Um... I feel so stupid bt I have no idea how to get it to play with items or get the costume on it or give it it's stuffed animal or... any of that >.< someone help me out!

My tama is not an adult yet, so that's why I thought that maybe it would develope it's skills to be a better trained adult, is this right?
