Question about Items

How come when my tamagotchi plays with certain items, the item stays after she is done playing, but when she plays with others, they go away after she is done.

Like the pencil.. there is no way she used up the entire pencil with one use

And the Stuffed Animal.. can't she just take it off and fold it back up?

Yes Kiri, I knew that, but I was just giving some examples of why I don't understand how certain items go away after they are done being used, while others stay in your items list.
