Question about naming

Ok, I'm sure someone has answered this somewhere on this board, but I can't seem to find it. So....

Do you get to name each generation of tamas, or is the name you gave the first gen the name each one gets? I have only had my tama a short time and am still on first generation, so forgive me if this is a silly question!

For every new tamagotchi which comes under your care, you get to name it. You also will name its offspring and so on.

The only silly question is the question not asked.

Just to add you dont name the tama baby until the parent leaves
