I was wondering, is Mimitchi in the V5? I haven't seen any pic for them. Thanks!

Wow...the V5 doesn't have Mimitchi? Lame. She is my absolute favorite and pretty much the "poster person" for all that is Tamagotchi. Take her away and you've taken away an integral part of Tamagotchi. She was in the very first Tamagotchis ever released for goodness' sake! See this is one of the reasons why I don't even bother with the connections these days. I've seen mixed reviews for all of them.

P.S. What's with all of these hybrid characters these days? I mean, I guess I can see the allure of having a myriad of choices for charaters but I mean COME ON! There's nothing wrong with the old-fashioned characters. Like MIMITCHI. Jeez. Sorry. End of rant.

Not true. In the SECOND tama release in '97 she/he was there as a boy in Mametchi's place. She was still an important character, being the best care, although he couldn't become a secret character.

P.S. Mimitchi was actually a boy until V4, so I switch off. I normally say "he" though.

Well, back when Mimitchi was released Mimitchi didn't have a set gender. Until about 2005- or was it 2006?- Mimitchi did not have a set gender. That is why some people see Mimitchi as a "he" while others see Mimitchi as a "she."

Anyway it seems like they're "dropping" Mimitchi, even though s/he is so popular. If I remember correctly several different versions of Tamagotchi Plus didn't have Mimitchi (I think the Keitai, Keitai Akai, Uratama and Famitama all don't have Mimitchi on them).

I wonder why they choose to not put Mimitchi on the Famitama. Is Mimitchi perhaps losing popularity in Japan?
