This year Guitar Hero 4 is coming out and it's gonna be awesome. But even pricier is Rock Band on Wii, based on the PS2 version (not the PS3 or Xbox 360 version.)

And Konami think they have what it takes with their new music game, Rock Revolution.

All of them come with drum kits.

Battle of the Bands was rubbish but these guys are guaranteed to be good.

And if you like rhythm, Samba De Amigo is coming to Wii where you use the Wii remote/Nunchuck as maracas.

And for the DS, we'll be getting Guitar Hero: On Tour for even more rocking action. It comes with a 'Guitar Grip' that goes in the GBA slot of your DS or DS Lite

So let's compare the stats of the three main games:

Rock Band

Published by EA and the playable instruments are Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums along with a Microphone. Price is £180 ($360) for UK $180 (£90) (that means people in the UK have to pay twice as much as the US people!) It will also have Track Pack discs as bonuses which come with extra songs. The Drum Kit has four pads and a kick drum pedal. There are 63 songs available for all the Countries. Europe gets nine extra songs.

Guitar Hero 4

Published by Activision and you can play a Guitar, Bass Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Drums and Mic. The Drum Kit has three pads, two cymbal pads and a kick drum pedal. The price and number of songs on it are unknown, but it is meant to have 'more songs than any disc based game.' It is also meant to be cheaper than Rock Band on Wii. Also has a Song Creator and Band Customisation.

Rock Revolution

Published by Konami, and you play a Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums, plus six pads and a kick drum pedal. It will have 40 songs, the price is unknown and it has a Song Creator plus a Air Guitar mode on Wii with Nunchuk and Wii Remote compatibility.
