If any of you guys play pokemon, you'll know about shinies. A shiny pokemon is an alternate coloration of a character. They are not actually "shiny" so to say; they are just called that because of their sparkle animation when they are sent in to battle. They are extremely uncommon, with an appearance rate of 1/8192. Needless to say, they are extremely prized among pokemon fans. I was thinking, how cool would it be if they did something like this in tamagotchi? I think the appearance rate would have to be a lot higher though, since you only get a new tamagotchi (start a new gen) every couple of days. It's not like in pokemon where you can encounter hundreds within a day. I think 1/100 would be an appropriate appearance rate. It would still be extremely special to find one.

But anyways, I made a couple of "shiny" sprites haha. These were a lot of fun.

Regular "Shiny"

This one might be a little too subtle, don't ya think? There's gotta be some sure way to tell its a shiny. Perhaps a gold star next to the character's name in the scale icon? :3
