Sims 2 Pets for PS2 (help!)

I hope this in the right forum...

I've been trying and trying and I just can't figure out how to enable that darn "Cheat Gnome" code on The Sims 2 Pets for PS2. It says on a few sites how to do it but when i try myself, it just doesn't work.



When it says "pause the game" there's two ways to pause it...

1. hold L1 down.

2. press the start button.

Which do you do? And another thing is, what is the correct code for this? I have about 2 or 3 different ones...



If someone could please walk me through this, it would be a great help.

I have that game but I never play it cause it is to hard!! GEt it for DS!! It is much easier!!

Haha, I know, Isn't it? Well, as soon as my cousin gets his DS (*cough* cough* or at least he thinks so) I'll get it. And if I absolutely cannot wait, My mom said she'll get it for me on PC.

Right now I think I'll go insane trying to figure out these codes!
