Tama-go Battery help!

Hello, im new to the forums. But i do have a quick question to ask.

I recently got my tama-go not even about 7 days ago id say. I already raised up my 1 GEN pet and it left the baby behind, ect.

So when i was in the middle of playing a game with my tama, it said the batterys needed changed. So i changed them. the game turned back on...

and it reset! What?! how am i supposed to change the batterys if it resets?

Did i maybe do something wrong? is there a way to load your progress is you have to change out the batterys?

Help would be very much appriciated.

Usually it would say Download/reset it might be different on The Tama-Go but i don't think it would be. did you press any buttons when you put the back on the Go?

Actually i might have hit reset by mistake. I noticed that it said download/ reset. Well, atleast i know for future battery changes.
