Uh... well, if you have tried it and it doesn't work, then perhaps there's not much point in moving it to the Tips & Tricks forum....?

This trick doesn't work because you can't change the time straight away - the Tama needs to spend a certain number of hours with the baby before it will leave... changing the time on the clock does not fool it!
