Make sure that they are opposite genders. Be at least 5 years old, and have 4 hearts in the relationship screen. Make sure that you both have love potions, and connect after using the love potion

I fnot then do some more connecting until it thats what it shows

If its not that then there must be something else wrong, maybe a small, temporary glitch.
