Im getting a new P1 for my birthdat thats the hong kong collectors edition.

How do you know if it's an english version?

The tamagotchi produced for the Hong Kong market were all in English I think.

That P1 Hong Kong edition Tama was produced to celebrate HK being handed back to China in July 97.
The tamenagerie.com page on P1s (https://www.tamenagerie.com/gen1.html) says there were 10,000 made and that it is some what rare, though not impossible to find.

I think it's nice to own a limited edition tama.
